May 22: Change in Liability Insurance Requirements for Dogs Takes Effect
Pit bulls will no longer be considered vicious dogs solely due to their breeds under legislation set to take effect May 22, eliminating the mandatory liability insurance requirement. However, dogs that have been deemed vicious under current law because of actions, not breed, will still be required to maintain liability insurance.
